Look here now, Mister Setles, if Sir Kaylem does it like that then it must by virtue of his awesomeness obviously be the correct way.

It looks great Kaylem. But it does look modern, and I can tell you why. It looks to spacious for a medieval or Renaissance building. Which is fine if this is for a game, because players need room to move around, but for realism, the house should be an architectural nightmare.

Based on what I've seen online from pictures of period houses, both restored and renovated, the house should not only be cramped, but should have low doorways, wood support beams in the middle of rooms and arching close above resident's heads, and pretty awkwardly placed rooms. Of course the wealthy lived in better houses, but still often had a few oddball rooms and tiny hallways, and the like.

Well, just my two cents. I'm no historian, by I do know a nerdy fellow I play D&D with who might know more about this sort of things. Want me to ask him how you could make your buildings more accurate?

It looks modern because its not textured yet, I had the same comments with my last house until I textured it

This is not ment to be historicly correct, its for a fantasy game of D&D.

Then, for the love of all that is good, make sure the players have enough room to move around in.

I once ran a game with my dad and brother. My first adventure was in a abandoned middle-class house, with pretty realistic proportions. In other words, even with two players it was tough to move around.

When I render certain camera shots it will only be for show, I would like to produce some great looking still photos to show with all the props inside making it look busy and alive. But when I render it as a movie to show its potential in a game I will remove alot of the clutter.

I could do that just for you mate

Also ive taken out the spiral stairs and managed to move some doors and then fit in a normal stair case. The builder was not best pleased when I told him
